Christopher Lafontaine

Christopher is currently an office administrator at a local (Colchester, VT) electricians office.  He previously spent almost a decade in Washington, DC as a contractor for the U.S. Department of State working on counter-terrorism issues.  After his tenure, Chris refocused his efforts getting hands-on experience in the utility services industry.  He has worked previously as a water utility operator, utility locator, and general facility manager.

Chris has a B.A. in Business Administration and Political Science from Southern Oregon University in 2005.  He went on to receive his Masters in Public Policy from California Polytechnic State University in 2010.   


His main interest in this campaign is to be a candidate from the working-class, and not influenced by outside interest.  This campaign is a one-man operation and self-funded.

Chris’ main hobbies outside of politics are hiking, biking, and in the winter, downhill skiing.  Chris is married with a loving wife, and a mix rescue dog.

Michael Speed

Michael has held various leadership roles, most recently with the Stanislaus Consolidated Fire Protection District.  Other management experiences include Fortune 500 companies such as ON24, American Eagle Outfitters, MTV Networks, and Gap, Inc.

Michael brings executive level business experience to this campaign on his two decades focusing on a commitment to excellence in the public and private sector.

Michael is active in the Boy Scouts of America and as a youth earned the Eagle Scout Award.  His other hobbies include hiking, water sports, and spending quality time with family and friends.  Michael is married with two young children.
